Halloween has arrived, bringing with it parties, gatherings, and weary parents trotting after their children in the chilly Autumn air! Follow along for some of our favorite spooky cocktail recipes to make your Halloween amazing!
Poison Apple Cocktail
This is a visually stunning crowd pleaser with a perfect autumn flavor!
INGREDIENTS
1/3 c. apple cider
1/3 c. cranberry juice
2 oz. fireball
1 oz. grenadine
1/4 tsp. edible gold glitter
Ice
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker full of ice. Shake to combine and chill all ingredients (about 30 seconds). Pour into glass and serve.
Sweet Poison Cocktail
Made popular at NYC’s Jekyll and Hyde club, you can recreate this gorgeous masterpiece at home anytime!
INGREDIENTS
1 oz. light rum
2 oz. coconut rum
1 oz. Blue Curacao
1 handful ice
pineapple juice
Pineapple wedge (for garnish)
Directions
- Combine the rums + Blue Curacao in a cocktail shaker full of ice. Shake to mix and chill, then pour into a cocktail glass.
- Finish filling the glass with chilled pineapple juice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
Cotton Candy Shot
What would Halloween be without candy?! This is a fun one for those adult-only Halloween parties after the trick-or-treating wraps up!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 oz. vanilla vodka
1 oz. cotton candy vodka
3 Scoops vanilla ice cream
1/2 – 1 Cup Pink Cotton Candy
Rim: Pink Sugar
Garnish: Cotton Candy
Directions
- Rim shot glasses with corn syrup then dip into the sugar to coat the edge.
- Put vodkas, ice cream, and cotton candy in a blender until smooth.
- Pour mix into sugar-rimmed shot glasses.
- Garnish with cotton candy (which will melt almost immediately).
Bloody Margarita
For a spooky twist on two old favorites, we can’t recommend this one enough!
INGREDIENTS
12 oz can tomato juice
1 c. orange juice
4 oz. white tequila
1/4 c. lime juice
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt ice
Garnish: additional kosher salt, lime slices, and jalapeno rings
Directions
- Combine all ingredients except for ice in a cocktail shaker. Meanwhile, crush ice in a blender to get very small pieces. Combine liquids + ice in a blender, pulsing 2-3 times to combine.
The Jolly Rancher
We couldn’t only include one candy creation, could we?! This is a tasty treat you can create quickly, sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
INGREDIENTS
2 oz vodka
1 oz melon liqueur
6-8 oz cranberry juice
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake then strain over fresh ice in a glass.
Aviation Cocktail
This is an oldie, but a goodie! Its vibrant color sets the perfect tone for a Halloween party.
INGREDIENTS
2 oz gin
1/4 oz maraschino liqueur
1/4 oz crème de violette liqueur
1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
Garnish: Lemon peel
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously until chilled.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with lemon.
